There are few places as breathtaking as Valensole in mid-July, when endless rows of lavender stretch across the horizon, their fragrance hanging thick in the warm summer air. As the sun began its descent, I had the privilege of capturing a love story unfold in one of the most romantic settings imaginable.

Capturing proposals like this is about more than just the setting—it’s about the raw, fleeting emotions, the intimacy of the moment, and the beauty of love against nature’s most stunning backdrop.

A Magical Proposal in the Lavender Fields of Valensole

T had been planning this moment for months. He wanted everything to be perfect—down to the golden hour glow, the breathtaking scenery, and most importantly, the element of surprise.

To keep C from suspecting anything, we started the session as a regular couple’s photoshoot. For about fifteen minutes, we wandered through the lavender fields, capturing their laughter, quiet glances, and stolen kisses. C had no idea that this was more than just a photoshoot—it was the beginning of a lifelong love story.
