A Private Proposal at Hôtel Château de La Chèvre d’Or in Èze

On the 21st of July, we had the pleasure of capturing a very special moment for C and P at the luxurious Hôtel Château de La Chèvre d'Or in Èze. P had proposed to C the night before in the privacy of their hotel suite, creating an intimate and personal experience. The following day, we helped them commemorate the occasion with a beautiful photoshoot around the hotel and the surrounding village of Èze.

Proposal Planning

The timing of the shoot was carefully planned to fit with their schedule. They were checking out at 11:00, so we started the session at the same time. While mid-morning can sometimes be hot along the French Riviera, this day was perfect. The sky was partly cloudy with a soft, diffused light, making the temperature comfortable and the lighting ideal for photographs. The session lasted until around 12:00, capturing all the details without any harsh sunlight.

We began in the gardens of La Chèvre d'Or, at the hotel's iconic yellow rotonde, a small dome structure near the pool area. The rotonde provided a stunning foreground while keeping the focus on C and P, highlighting their happiness and the elegance of the surroundings.

We also took close-ups of the engagement ring and the floral arrangements from the proposal the night before.

Panoramic View

We captured both intimate portraits and wider shots that showcased the spectacular views of Èze, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and the sparkling Mediterranean in the background.

Photos in the Village d'Èze

Once the first half of the shoot was complete, we moved into the village of Eze. We wandered through cobblestone streets and charming stone buildings, stopping at some of our favourite spots.

One highlight was the narrow yellow street near Château Eza, known for its picturesque character.

We concluded the session on a street lined with vibrant bougainvillea. The pink flowers complemented P's pink shirt perfectly and added a cheerful, romantic touch to the final images.

C wore a beautiful white dress, and the combination of her outfit, the scenic backgrounds, and the soft, cloudy lighting created a timeless and elegant collection of images. The day was relaxed and joyful, showing that private proposals can be captured beautifully without anyone else present. It was a perfect way to celebrate the moment and preserve it for years to come.
