Afternoon Maternity Session at CoCo Beach, Nice¶
We had the pleasure of photographing D and F in late May for a relaxed and joyful photoshoot at Coco Beach.
Midday Sunshine and a Beautiful Location¶
For this session, we scheduled the shoot from 12:00 to 13:00. While we usually recommend sunrise, early mornings, evenings or sunset for the softest light, this timing worked best for D's schedule, especially as she was pregnant and wanted a little extra morning rest. Even in bright midday sun, Coco Plage proved to be a fantastic location. The beach is quieter than areas closer to Nice, and there are plenty of shaded spots to keep everyone comfortable.
The combination of sun, sea and shaded corners made it easy to capture both vibrant and softer shots, with the sparkling Mediterranean as a gorgeous backdrop.
Outfits and Portraits¶
D wore a stunning white dress for the first part of the shoot, which complemented F's outfit perfectly.
The brightness of the day and the deep blue of the sea created a crisp and joyful atmosphere for their portraits.
Outfit Change¶
Later, D changed into a beautiful pink dress, adding a playful contrast against the sand and sea. We wandered around the Coco Plage area, capturing natural moments of laughter, connection and movement between the couple.
Even though the timing was not the traditional golden hour, the day's light, the calm of the location and the couple's relaxed energy made the session feel effortless and beautiful. The landscapes are beautifully dramatic during the day as well.
This was a straightforward but wonderful shoot, just two people, a gorgeous seaside location, and the joy of anticipating a new chapter in their lives.
