Birthday Picnic with Friends in the Lavender Fields of Provence¶
Photo Session Planning¶
In early July, we captured a fun and lively group session in the lavender fields of Valensole. The session followed a birthday picnic for A. A’s boyfriend and five friends joined to celebrate together. After enjoying their picnic, we did a quick photo session to capture the memories of the day.
Daytime Colours¶
Because this was a daytime shoot, the lighting was bright and clear, which really brought out the natural, vibrant purple of the lavender fields. While sunset creates warm orange tones, this timing highlights the true colour of the lavender and works beautifully for photos that feel fresh and lively.
The session itself was short, about 15 minutes, but packed with energy and fun. We captured some solo shots, group enjoying themselves, candid moments between the birthday pair, and playful interactions among friends. Even in this quick shoot, the joy and connection of the group are obvious in every image.
