Elopement-Style Photoshoot with Vintage Porsche on the French Riviera¶
In late May 2025, I photographed an elopement-style couple session for R and W along the French Riviera. R reached out after they had recently gotten married and wanted to plan a post-wedding shoot inspired by the look and feel of an elopement, with a strong focus on location and a vintage vehicle.
Vintage Car Rental with Sunset Ride¶
For the session, R and W rented a beige 1970 Porsche 356 Speedster through Sunset Ride, a vintage car company that we frequently partner with for vintage car photo sessions.
Photoshoot Locations Along the Riviera¶
The session was scheduled during the daytime, rather than at sunset. Weather conditions were clear, with strong sunlight typical of the Riviera in late May.
The shoot took place in two different locations around Villefranche-sur-Mer. This was the first location:
This second location a well-known viewpoint located along Boulevard Napoléon III, overlooking the Bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer that offers unobstructed views of Villefranche-sur-Mer and the Mediterranean Sea.
We took some portraits at the end of the shoot as well.
The bright summer sun enhanced the natural colours of the scene, particularly the blue tones of the sea and sky, as well as the beige finish of the Porsche.
