Intimate Château Eza Wedding Overlooking the Mediterranean in Èze¶
A celebration without tradition at Château Eza¶
Some weddings follow a carefully planned timeline filled with long standing traditions. R and A chose something entirely different.
They did not want a formal aisle walk or a structured ceremony. Instead, they envisioned a celebration in a beautiful place, surrounded by the people who matter most to them. No rigid schedule, no expectations, just a joyful gathering with good food, great music and plenty of dancing. It was refreshingly relaxed, and we truly loved being part of it.
Portraits at Jardin Exotique¶
When we arrived, they were already dressed and looking incredible. R wore a stunning golden dress that caught the light perfectly, and A looked effortlessly dapper. Since everything was ready, we headed straight to the Jardin Exotique in Èze for portraits.
The garden offers completely unobstructed views over the Mediterranean, with dramatic cliffs and endless blue water stretching into the distance. It is one of the most breathtaking portrait locations in the area. There is a 200€ photographer access fee, in addition to entry tickets. Even so, it is absolutely worth it. The views alone make it unforgettable.
We spent about an hour there, taking advantage of the sweeping scenery and the soft natural light.
Wandering Through Èze¶
After the garden, we continued through the charming streets of Èze. The stone alleyways, warm toned walls and narrow passages created the perfect atmosphere for relaxed, candid portraits. The light that day was incredible, soft yet vibrant, wrapping around them in the most flattering way.
R carried a beautiful pink bouquet of peonies, adding a soft romantic touch that contrasted beautifully with the coastal backdrop.
Because their wedding was intentionally non traditional, the focus was not on staged moments but on capturing their connection naturally. We let them move freely through the village while we documented everything as it unfolded. Before the guests started arriving, we finished the couple's session with some pictures in Château Eza.
A Relaxed Celebration at Château Eza¶
As guests began arriving at Château Eza, the energy shifted from portrait session to celebration. Before the space filled completely, we photographed the details of the set up, including floral arrangements and table styling. Everything felt elegant yet unfussy, perfectly aligned with their vision.
Once their friends and family gathered, R and A wanted to spend as much time as possible with everyone. There was no formal procession or structured ceremony. Instead, there were hugs, cheers and conversations flowing effortlessly from one group to another.
More candids and group shots as the guests mingled.
We did organise one large group photograph with everyone together, which felt celebratory and full of life.
We blended into the crowd, focusing mostly on candid moments. Glasses clinked, laughter echoed across the terrace and small groups formed and reformed as guests mingled.
We also got a picture of the venue from Jardin Exotique.
A few more pictures of the beautiful couple.
Dinner at Sunset¶
As the sun began to dip, the sky shifted into warm evening tones. After sunset, guests moved into dinner, settling into a long and joyful evening of conversation and shared stories.
At that point, we left them to enjoy the rest of the night privately. This wedding was beautifully untraditional. No aisle walk, no rigid timeline, no pressure to perform. Just two people choosing to celebrate their love in a way that felt authentic to them.
It was relaxed, stylish and deeply personal. A golden dress, pink peonies, Mediterranean views and a terrace full of laughter. Sometimes the best weddings are the ones that break the rules.
