Intimate Sunrise Lavender Proposal in Valensole, Provence

In late-June 2024, M planned a quiet sunrise proposal for D in the lavender fields of Valensole. We met just before sunrise at 06:10 and photographed until 07:10, capturing the soft morning light as it gently illuminated the landscape. The atmosphere was calm, warm, and perfectly suited to such an intimate moment.

Proposal Planning

M had carefully prepared the surprise. D had always imagined a proposal in the lavender fields, so he playfully convinced her it would not happen there, making the real moment completely unexpected. When he finally proposed, her reaction was pure shock and joy, creating one of those genuine, emotional moments that feels timeless in photographs.

Photos in the Lavender Fields and Olive Trees

Afterwards, we spent time walking through nearby fields, photographing them among the rows of lavender and in a second location where the landscape curves softly with olive trees in the distance. The peaceful surroundings and early summer bloom made every scene feel romantic and serene.

Private Picnic

To finish the morning, D and M shared a quiet picnic together in the fields, extending their session until around 09:00. The slower pace allowed space to celebrate, reflect, and capture natural moments of happiness just after their engagement.
