Private Boat Proposal in Cannes during Fireworks

This proposal took place on July 22 in Cannes, timed to coincide with the annual Festival d’Art Pyrotechnique fireworks celebrations. Around this time each year, fireworks are scheduled throughout the week in various coastal cities in France, making it a popular period for evening events on the water.

Proposal

R and C decided to rent a private boat for the proposal and planned the timing carefully. We departed in the early evening and headed into the harbour just before sunset. The proposal itself took place as the sun was going down, with the coastline of Cannes visible in the background. Being on the water provided open views of the city, the surrounding hills, and the changing light as day transitioned into night.

After the proposal, the boat remained in position so they could enjoy the atmosphere leading up to the fireworks.
