Romantic Sunrise Beach Proposal in Nice, France¶
J contacted me six months in advance to plan her proposal to her girlfriend, G. She chose a sunrise proposal to keep the moment quiet and private. We began the shoot at exactly 6:00, just as the sky started to fill with soft pink and purple colours. This was the lighting J preferred, rather than the brighter golden light that comes later in the morning.
Proposal Setup¶
We were already set up at the beach before they arrived. A blanket covered in pastel pink and white petals was laid out, along with a bottle of champagne, glasses, and two bouquets of flowers.
The Proposal Moment¶
Once they arrived, J proposed, and everything went smoothly.
J & G had champagne to celebrate afterwards.
Beach Portraits¶
We continued our shoot on the beach afterwards.
Golden Hour Light¶
As the sun continued to rise above the mountain, the light gradually became more golden. We used this change in light towards the end of the shoot to capture a different look from the earlier images. We started walking down the promenade towards the viewpoint near the #iLoveNice sign.
Port Lympia Viewpoint¶
And then continued towards one of our favourite locations overlooking Port Lympia and the surrounding mountains. This spot receives more direct golden sunrise light.
Place Massena¶
We finished the session around Place Massena while walking back towards their hotel, chatting along the way. It was a relaxed and enjoyable shoot from start to finish.
