Surprise Sunset Proposal on the Coastal Path in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat¶
Proposal Planning¶
This surprise proposal photoshoot followed by a couples photo session took place on March 30th, right at the start of spring, along the coastal path called Chemin des Douaniers, in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The setting could not have been better. Soft golden light during sunset, calm sea, and that quiet atmosphere that makes the whole moment feel personal and effortless.
Proposal Moment¶
N chose to propose to A just before sunset, at 18:15, with the light slowly dropping behind the cliffs. It was one of those evenings where everything aligns naturally.
No need to over-direct or stage anything. The light, the location, and their energy carried the entire moment.
Decorations¶
For this proposal, N added a simple bouquet of white flowers. It is one of the most popular options and works beautifully in photos, especially with the soft tones of the coastline. We always offer the option to customise the experience with flowers, champagne, or other personal touches depending on what feels right for each couple.
After the proposal, we continued shooting along the Sentier du Littoral, taking advantage of the last light as it faded. The path offers so many small, intimate corners, with views opening up between the rocks and trees. It creates a natural flow to the session without needing to move far.
Once the sun had almost, we slowly made our way back towards the town.
Photos at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat Port¶
We finished the session around the marina. The contrast between the wild coastal path and the more polished port area adds a different atmosphere to the gallery, which always helps create a more complete story of the evening.
The entire session wrapped around 20:00, ending with a relaxed walk through the harbour, capturing those final moments just after everything had settled in.
A very simple, elegant proposal for A and N, perfectly timed with the light, and exactly the kind of session that does not need anything extra to feel special.
