Afternoon Proposal at Colline du Château in Nice¶
Proposal Planning¶
S reached out to plan a very simple and intimate proposal in Nice, choosing a quick session focused purely on capturing the moment itself. We selected a viewpoint at Colline du Château overlooking Port Lympia, one of the most striking coastal views in the city.
Because this particular spot falls fully into shadow later in the day once the sun passes behind the hill, timing is essential. Their proposal took place in late July from 12:30 to 13:00, when the light still illuminated the sea and revealed an incredibly vivid blue that felt especially vibrant in the summer afternoon.
Moments of the Proposal¶
This session followed our “just capturing your proposal” format, designed for couples who prefer a very short and discreet experience. We photographed the proposal itself, followed by a few natural portraits and close details of the ring, keeping everything relaxed and efficient. It is an ideal option for anyone who feels shy in front of the camera but still wants the memory beautifully preserved.
Proposal Setup and Decorations¶
To prepare the space, we arranged soft red and white petals at the viewpoint. Along with helping create a romantic setting, this subtle detail naturally encouraged passersby to give the couple privacy during the proposal. With two photographers present, we were also able to keep the moment calm and uninterrupted.
The result was a heartfelt, sunlit proposal overlooking the Mediterranean, captured in a way that felt simple, genuine, and entirely focused on S and C’s unforgettable moment.
