Family photo session in Villefranche-sur-Mer at Sunrise¶
In September, we had a morning shoot scheduled from 7:45 to 8:45, right at the start of the morning light. The timing gave us soft, golden light to work with, which added a natural warmth to every shot. We chose Villefranche-sur-Mer as the location, and it didn’t disappoint. The setting gave us plenty of open space and interesting textures to work with, making it easy to move around and capture a variety of backgrounds.
The focus of the shoot was on a toddler, and she brought all the energy you'd expect. She had a great time running around the space, completely in her element. There wasn't a need to over-direct, she explored, played, and moved freely, which gave us some authentic, candid moments. That natural energy really came through in the photos.
Because of the early hour, we were able to work without too many distractions. The lighting stayed consistent for most of the session, and we wrapped up just before the sun got too high.
This shoot was a great reminder of how much timing and location matter—especially with young kids. Villefranche-sur-Mer gave us a safe and open environment, and the morning light helped keep everything soft and balanced.
