Riad Dar Ten: A Beautiful Hotel to Visit in Marrakech¶
From the moment we stepped through the doors of Riad Dar Ten, time seemed to slow into something softer and more beautiful. Tucked away like a secret in the heart of Morocco, this riad felt less like accommodation and more like a private sanctuary designed for rest, warmth and quiet wonder.
I travelled with my friend and assistant, just the two of us, and as two female solo travellers we felt immediately at ease. There is something deeply comforting about Riad Dar Ten. It wraps around you gently, offering calm after the colour and energy of the city beyond its walls.
Breakfast¶
Each morning began in the most delightful way. Breakfast was prepared for us with care and generosity, a spread that felt both indulgent and nourishing. Sitting together in the peaceful courtyard, sipping tea and easing into the day, felt like a ritual rather than a routine. After breakfast, we would slip into the pool, which sits at the heart of the riad like a jewel. The water is cool and inviting, perfect for refreshing yourself before heading out or unwinding after a day of exploring. Sunlight pours down into the courtyard, illuminating the space in the most magical way and making every swim feel quietly romantic.
Hotel Room Design¶
Our room was upstairs and it was absolutely beautiful. Every detail reflected traditional Moroccan style, from the furnishings to the textures and colours. The pillows and sheets were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to drift into deep, restful sleep each night. The room felt thoughtful and cosy, a place where you could truly relax and feel at home.
Rooftop Views¶
Climbing up to the rooftop was like discovering another hidden treasure. Bathed in warm terracotta tones, the space is filled with flowers, little olive trees and cacti that add charm and character at every turn. There are corners designed for lingering, whether you want to curl up with a book, enjoy a quiet moment alone, or simply take in the atmosphere. Small decorative touches are scattered throughout, each one adding to the feeling that this riad has been created with love and intention.
Riad Dar Ten is romantic without trying too hard, elegant without feeling formal, and welcoming in a way that stays with you long after you leave. It is the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and savour every moment. For us, it was not just a stay, but a beautiful experience we will always remember.
