A Sunset Picnic and Photo Session in the Lavender Fields, Provence¶
In early July, we met C and F in the lavender fields of Lavandes Angelvin in Valensole for a short sunset session following one of our picnic experiences.
Picnic Experience¶
As with all of our lavender picnic sessions, the main focus of the experience is the picnic itself. These sessions are designed for couples or families who want to enjoy a beautifully styled setup in the fields, take their time, relax, and soak in the Provençal atmosphere. The photography portion comes at the end and usually lasts around 15 minutes. It is meant to complement the picnic rather than replace a full photo shoot.
C and F chose to enjoy their picnic first, taking in the peaceful surroundings and the golden evening light. Once the sun began to dip lower, we transitioned into a short portrait session among the lavender rows.
Sunset Portraits in the Lavender Fields¶
Sunset in Valensole is always magical. The warm light softens the landscape, and the purple tones of the lavender deepen as the sky glows in shades of gold. Even within a brief 15-minute window, we were able to capture relaxed, romantic images that reflected their time together in Provence.
It was simple, intimate, and the perfect way to end a summer evening in the lavender fields.
