Surprise Sunrise Proposal with Menton as your View¶
This sunrise proposal session took place in Menton on 14 June 2024. We started the shoot at 6:00am and continued for around an hour and a half.
The Proposal Moment¶
Because of the early start, we were able to catch the sunrise just as it came over the mountains. D arrived right on time, and everything lined up perfectly— we had beautiful soft light at the exact moment he proposed.
After the proposal, we continued with the rest of the shoot. We began at a rocky area with a clear view across the water, directly facing Menton. From there, we made our way towards the other side of the harbour to get a wider view of the town from a different angle.
Afterwards, we went to shoot one last view of the town. There's a staircase that leads up to a small elevated path known as the Promenade du Bastion. From there, you can see the boats in the harbour, the mountains behind, and the town rising up in the background.
Walking around Menton's Old Town Streets¶
After that, we headed back down and into the old town. Before reaching the cathedral, we stopped at Rampe Saint-Michel — a yellow zigzagging street that's popular for photos.
Above that is the Basilique Saint-Michel-Archange, which is one of the main landmarks in Menton.
Just behind the cathedral is a small yellow street where we took the final photos of the session.
