Honeymoon Photography Session Planning¶
In late June, J and C joined us for a long-awaited session in the lavender fields. J had always dreamed of visiting and even hoped to have her wedding there, but those plans were not possible.
This trip was her chance to finally experience the lavender in person and capture the photos she had imagined for years.
First Location: Dip Field¶
We began in where we call the “Dip Field”, one of our favourite locations because of the dramatic slope that makes the rows of lavender appear endless. The depth in this field adds a striking visual effect, especially in the softer evening light.
We captured a mix of couple portraits and relaxed moments as the sun began to lower.
A Perfect Sunset in the Lavender Field¶
Afterwards, we moved to the “Sunset Field” to catch the direct evening light. That evening turned out to be one of the most beautiful sunsets of the entire season.
The sky glowed intensely, and the light was warm and flattering.
During the shoot, a tractor passed through the field in the distance, creating a soft smoky haze. It added an unexpected and cinematic atmosphere to the photos, making the moment even more unique.
Pink and Orange Lavender at Dusk¶
As the sun dipped further, the lavender shifted in colour, taking on pink and orange tones. The field looked surreal. The final images from that evening were vibrant, glowing, and full of warmth.
It was a truly special session, not just because of the incredible sunset, but because it fulfilled a dream J had carried for years.
