A Sunset Picnic Proposal at a Lavender Field, Provence¶
Planning the Perfect Proposal in the Lavender Fields¶
In early July, S planned a picnic proposal for T in the lavender fields near Valensole. The session was carefully timed around sunset so that the proposal would take place in the softest and most romantic light of the day.
Choosing the "Dip Field" for a Romantic Setting¶
He chose the “Dip Field” for the setting, one of our most popular locations for picnic proposals. The natural slope of the field creates depth in photographs, and at sunset the light settles beautifully across the lavender rows, adding warmth and dimension to every frame.
Capturing the Proposal at the Picnic¶
When they arrived, the picnic was already set up and ready. As they sat down together, the moment unfolded naturally. S proposed right there in the field, with the sun lowering behind them. The proposal went very smoothly and felt relaxed and intimate.
After she said yes, they took a few minutes to enjoy the picnic together, soaking in the moment before we continued with the rest of the session. This pause made the experience feel even more personal and allowed them to simply enjoy being newly engaged.
Pink Skies and Golden Light¶
As the sun began to set fully, the sky turned a soft pink, creating a beautiful backdrop for the rest of the photographs. We captured a mixture of celebratory candid moments and gently guided portraits right at sunset, making the most of the colour in the sky and the warm glow across the field.
It was a calm, romantic evening with a stunning pink sunset and a very happy newly engaged couple.
