A Two-Day Lavender Proposal and Photo Tour in the Lavender Fields of Provence¶
R and S’s story unfolded over two beautiful days in early July and remains incredibly special to us. This was one of the very first proposals we ever photographed, which made it even more meaningful.
Day One – The Proposal¶
In early July, from 20:30 to 21:30, S proposed to R in Lavandes Angelvin, near Valensole in Provence.
Proposal Planning¶
We had been planning this moment with S for months. He wanted everything to feel thoughtful and unforgettable. As the sun began to set over the lavender fields, the light turned soft and golden, creating the most perfect evening glow.
The atmosphere was calm and romantic. When S got down on one knee, it felt intimate and emotional, framed by endless rows of purple and warm sunset tones. The lighting truly could not have been more perfect.

Day Two – A Four-Hour Photo Tour¶
The next day, we met again at 15:00 for a four-hour photo tour and picnic through different parts of the Valensole area.
Puimoisson¶
We began near Puimoisson, exploring a lavender field with wide open views. After that, we visited a sunflower field at Les Garants du Goût, adding bright, summery contrast to the previous evening’s soft purple tones.
Terraroma¶
We then went to Terraroma to take pictures with the beautiful lavender and sunflower fields that are side by side.
Lavandes Angelvin¶
Afterwards we returned to Lavandes Angelvin where we had prepared a picnic for them. It was a relaxed break in the middle of the tour, giving them time to soak everything in and enjoy the experience together.
Photos around Valensole¶
After lunch, we continued on to Valensole itself, photographing them around the town. The combination of countryside and village scenes gave the gallery beautiful variety.
We ended the day at one last field, a charming spot with a small hut and mountains in the background. It was peaceful, scenic, and the perfect way to close their Provence experience.
Two days, multiple locations, one unforgettable proposal, and a full story captured from beginning to end.
