Golden Hour Maternity Photo Session on a Quiet Beach in Cannes¶
This two-hour maternity session with I and M took place in late June, from 19:30 to 21:30, along the beautiful coastline of Cannes. I was expecting, and the couple wanted to preserve this meaningful season of their lives while travelling through the South of France. It was a calm, joyful evening dedicated to celebrating their growing family.

We began at 19:30 in the old town of Cannes, starting in the open area near the port before slowly wandering into the historic streets. The old town is filled with warm tones, textured façades, and charming passageways that feel especially magical in the early evening, when the first lights begin to glow and the atmosphere softens. This setting created intimate, romantic portraits while still keeping the mood light and natural for a maternity session.
Sunset Colours at the Beach¶
As sunset approached, we made our way to Cannes La Bocca, one of our favourite beach locations for maternity photo sessions.
Unlike many beaches along this coastline, it offers soft sand and a quieter atmosphere, making it ideal for relaxed portraits by the sea.
Golden Hour Portraits¶
By the time we arrived, the sun was beginning to set. The light was perfectly golden.
This couple loved motion blur pictures to capture movement, so we included a lot of them into the session.
The conditions could not have been more beautiful, with late-June warmth that felt summery without being overwhelming.
The session ended quietly by the water as the last light faded, capturing a peaceful and emotional close to an evening that marked an unforgettable chapter in I and M’s journey toward parenthood.
