Intimate Sunset Proposal in the Sunflowers Field in Provence

Starting the Session with a Distraction Field

In mid-July, K planned a special two-hour session to propose to J. They usually do a lot of shoots together, so it was easy to make this one seem like a normal couple session. We started at a field about ten minutes from Puimoisson to take a few photos and keep things casual. This gave J the impression it was a typical shoot and kept the surprise intact.

The Proposal Moment in the Sunflower Field

Next, we headed to the sunflower field, chosen because J loves sunflowers. We began with some portraits of her alone to “play the act” and make it feel natural.

Then, at the perfect moment, K got down on one knee as the sun was setting. The light was soft and golden, creating a stunning backdrop for the proposal. The moment was intimate, joyful, and perfectly timed.

Afterwards, we took more photos in the same location before moving on.

Portraits in Lavender Fields

After the proposal, we continued the session. On the way to a final lavender field past Valensole, we stopped at another sunflower field for a few more photos.

We finished the shoot at the lavender field near Valensole, capturing the last glow of sunset and a few final romantic portraits.
