Lavender Field Couples Session: A Provence Road Trip Highlight¶
Travelling Through Provence by Road Trip¶
H reached out while he and his wife E were travelling through Valensole on a road trip. They are originally from Austria and were exploring the region in their RV in late June, making their way through Provence at their own pace. During their stop in Valensole, they wanted to capture a few memories together in the lavender fields.
A Short and Sweet Evening Session¶
They chose a simple 30 minute session from 19:30 to 20:00. This timing gave us soft evening light without waiting for full sunset. The atmosphere at that hour is calm and warm, with gentle tones that flatter both skin and landscape.
We met in what we call the Dip Field, a location just a few minutes from Valensole. The natural slope of the field creates depth in photographs and allows for a lot of variation without needing to move far.
Easy, Fun Moments in Soft Lighting¶
The session itself was relaxed and fun. We walked through the field, stopping at different angles to make the most of the lavender rows and the soft evening glow. E and H were very natural together, which made photographing them easy and enjoyable.
