M planned a heartfelt proposal for V in the garden of Èze, choosing a quiet morning setting for a more private and peaceful experience. The early hours offer fewer visitors and a calm atmosphere that can feel especially intimate. Their session took place in early-July between 09:00 and 10:00, just as the garden opened.
Proposal Moment and Reactions¶
At this time of day, the main proposal viewpoint sits gently in shadow, creating soft and subtle light. The higher and lower angles of the garden still receive brightness, allowing for beautiful variation throughout the session. This balance of shade and light gives the photographs a calm, romantic mood that feels different from the golden tones of evening.
After the proposal, we explored the pathways and viewpoints within the garden, capturing natural portraits surrounded by Mediterranean greenery and sea views.

We then continued into the village of Èze for a few final images. By mid-morning, sunlight begins to filter into the streets, illuminating the warm yellow tones of the stone buildings and making the colours of the village feel especially vibrant.
The result was a gentle and intimate proposal story, filled with soft light, quiet emotion, and the timeless beauty of Èze in the morning.
