Quiet Morning Surprise Engagement in Jardin Exotique, Èze

Choosing the Perfect Spot

R wanted to propose to K in a quiet, so we chose Jardin Exotique in Èze in the morning. The shoot took place on 16 June 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00, early in the morning when the garden is calm and peaceful. This timing is ideal because later in the day the garden becomes crowded and the sunlight can be harsh. For anyone considering a proposal here, the photography’s entry fee is around 200€, but it’s worth it—the garden offers an unobstructed, breathtaking view of the Mediterranean that you can’t get anywhere else in Èze without booking a private venue at one of the hotels.

The Proposal Moment

When R arrived, he proposed to K, and she was genuinely surprised and thrilled. The moment was intimate and heartfelt, and you can see the joy and excitement in the photos.

Exploring the Garden

After the proposal, we explored the Jardin Exotique, capturing portraits among the lush greenery, exotic cacti, and vibrant flowers. The garden is filled with winding pathways, terraces, and lookout points that make it perfect for photography. The mix of manicured plants and natural rock formations creates a striking contrast with the deep blue sea in the background.

Wandering Through Medieval Eze

From the garden, we strolled through the streets of Èze village, which is charmingly medieval with narrow cobblestone alleyways and stone buildings. At this time of year, the town is bursting with pink bougainvillea, which added gorgeous colour to the portraits. Every corner of the village offered new angles and frames, from staircases and arches to quiet terraces overlooking the sea.

Wrap-Up

The session lasted one hour, which was perfect to capture both the garden and the village, along with a variety of portraits of K and R. This timing allowed us to get a full mix of intimate, scenic, and joyful moments in a relaxed, natural way.
