Romantic Photo Session in the Rain, Villefranche-sur-Mer¶
On early October, I had a morning shoot planned with a couple in Villefranche-sur-Mer. It was early autumn, and we met at 10:00, hoping to capture the usual charm of the town in soft daylight. What we got instead was rain. We did consider rescheduling, but with the rest of their trip fully booked, there was no other time available.
So we went out into the rain, and in the end, I'm so glad we did.
Romantic Atmosphere¶
Even though the weather was far from ideal, this shoot turned into one of my favourites I've done in Villefranche. The rain gave everything a calm, romantic atmosphere. The streets were quiet, the colours were muted, and the couple leaned into it completely. We brought umbrellas, which became both practical and a really sweet prop to work with.
By the end, none of us were dry. We were fully soaked, but also really happy with how it turned out. The couple ended the session dancing in the rain, not for the camera, but just enjoying the moment. It was a genuine and relaxed way to wrap things up.
Now I am always a little excited to have the chance to do a shoot in the rain!
