Surprise Sunset Proposal Photography in Jardin Exotique of Èze¶
Capture Your Proposal Session¶
In mid-September, B reached out to plan a surprise proposal for S in Èze. They chose a short 30-minute session from 18:30 to 19:00 to capture the soft evening light. At that time of year, the light in the early evening is beautifully gentle and flattering, even before the sun fully sets.
Proposal Location¶
The proposal took place at the Jardin Exotique d’Èze, one of the most scenic locations on the French Riviera. For anyone considering this spot, there is a 200€ photography fee in addition to the regular entrance tickets. It is still absolutely worth it for the panoramic views over the coastline. It is also one of the only public places in Èze where you can access those views without booking a hotel.
An Emotional Surprise with a View¶
Since this was a shorter session, we stayed within the garden and moved through a few of its most scenic viewpoints. S had no idea what was coming. When B proposed, her reaction was filled with genuine emotion. The moment was intimate and incredibly special against the dramatic Mediterranean backdrop.
After the proposal, we continued walking through the garden, capturing portraits in the soft evening light.
The combination of the stone pathways, exotic plants, and sweeping sea views made this a beautiful and elegant setting for such an important moment.
