Family Photo Session in Nice, French Riviera¶
A Friendship Celebrated Together¶
This session brought together two families whose story is rooted in a lifelong friendship. The two women pictured have been best friends for many years, and by a beautiful coincidence, they both welcomed children at the same time. As families who travel easily and share life closely, they chose Nice for one of their first trips together with their children and decided to commemorate the occasion with a photo session filled with happiness and connection.
Beginning at Place Masséna¶
We began in Place Masséna near the fountain and the distinctive checkered square framed by warm red façades. This area is one of our favourite starting points for family photography, offering colour, texture, and a lively yet intimate atmosphere that works beautifully for natural portraits.
The day was very cloudy, and the sky carried the feeling of an approaching storm. Rather than diminishing the images, the soft, diffused light created rich tones and a calm mood that gave the photographs a unique and expressive character.
Through the Heart of Nice to the Sea¶
From there, headed towards the waterfront to capture the quintessential experience of being in Nice beside the Mediterranean. Walking along the Promenade des Anglais, we photographed relaxed moments of the families together with the sea stretching behind them.
We finished near the eastern end of the promenade by the sundial viewpoint, where the water sparkles beautifully in the distance. Despite the uncertain weather, we were fortunate to see a hint of sunset colour appear in the sky, and the rain never arrived.
A Session Filled with Happiness¶
Throughout the entire shoot, the atmosphere was joyful, playful, and deeply warm. The photographs reflect not only a shared holiday in the south of France, but also years of friendship and the beginning of a new chapter as their children grow up side by side.
