Colline du Château Photoshoot Stories

Castle Hill — Colline du Château — is Nice's proposal spot. From its terraces you look down on Port Lympia's yachts one way and the sweep of the Promenade des Anglais the other, and at sunrise you'll often have both views to yourself. It's five minutes from the old town but feels like a balcony over the whole city.

These are the sessions we've photographed on the hill. Our proposal guide covers every terrace — Port Lympia, the lighthouse view, the city view — with the exact timing we use to keep proposals private.

Private Morning Proposal at Colline du Château with a Sea View

This heartfelt proposal between S and F took place in late May in the quiet morning light of Colline du Château in Nice. F was hoping for something intimate and peaceful, and this location is one of our favourite choices for private morning sessions because it remains surprisingly calm before the afternoon crowds arrive.

Surprise Sunset Proposal at Colline du Château in Nice

A wanted to propose to K at a beautiful, romantic location, so we chose the Colline du Château. This spot is ideal for sunset proposals, but note that it closes at 20:00. The best timing is an hour or two before sunset, when the light is soft, warm, and golden.

This session took place in mid-July, from 13:15 to 13:45. Because this proposal involved a lot of beautiful decorations, including carefully chosen flowers, an earlier morning session was not possible.
